INCREDIBLE ITEM! This is one of the "screwing" screen used knives! This knife was used in Octopussy when one of the twins (under employ of Kamal Khan and General Orlov) pins 007 James Bond himself to the barn door, a key scene of the film! The knife is made out of hard resin and is painted to look exactly like the one of the knives as used by the assassin twins Mischka and Grischka. The knife has a screw device on the end to enable it to be placed in the wood to simulate a "thrown" knife... allowed Bond, aka Roger Moore, to be helpless as the twin approaches him to finish him off. This knife was purchased right after the filming along with the other hero metal knives.They made two different cut-down knives knives as they ran out of the metal ones to stick in the barn door. This was confirmed at a Bond convention about 10 years ago in the UK with the maker of the knives, John Brown!!! The knives were custom made under the direction of John Brown.The black and white photo shows the handle of the resin one quite well in reverse detail. This knife is one of only three (!) believed to have survived to date. THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE RARE MAJOR PROP OF BOND HISTORY WITH CRYSTAL CLEAR HISTORY!
